Who we are


Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Andrew R. Maggiore graduated from Boston University with degrees in French Language and Literature (B.A.) and Film and Television Studies (B.S.). In 1999, he moved to the Netherlands and obtained a Master’s degree in film theory from the University of Amsterdam. He has since worked as a translator, interpreter, editor and educator. In 2004, he established Maggiore Consulting, which provides specialized language and cultural courses as well as localization and line production services to individuals and businesses.

After obtaining a B.A. in French and Italian Studies at University College Dublin, the British Kirsty Sharwood Smith returned to the Netherlands, where she grew up, to start her career as a freelance translator and subtitler. She has been working for leading subtitling and translation agencies for over 10 years, translating from Dutch, Italian and French into English. She has gained considerable experience in a wide variety of texts, television programs, films, and screenplays.
